Virgin Hotels has announced plans to open and operate a new hotel in San Francisco, CA, expected to open this summer. The San Francisco property will be managed by Virgin Hotels and developed by Paradigm Hotels Group.
San Francisco’s combination of business and leisure travel, as well as its tech-centric locals makes it well suited for a Virgin Hotel, according to Virgin Hotels CEO Raul Leal.
Located South of Market, Virgin Hotels San Francisco will have 196 Chambers (guestrooms) and Grand Chamber Suites; multiple dining and drinking outlets, including The Commons Club; a coffee shop; numerous meeting spaces; and a rooftop bar.
Virgin Hotels San Francisco is a new build located at 250 Fourth Street, neighboring many cultural attractions in the area. The hotel will also be in close proximity to the new Central Subway Station, which, upon opening in 2019, will connect South of Market with Union Square and Chinatown.
Virgin Hotels Chicago opened in 2015 as the brand’s first property. Recently it announced plans to open additional properties in New Orleans, Silicon Valley, Nashville, and Palm Springs. Hotels in Dallas and New York City are currently under construction, slated to open in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Virgin Hotels is a lifestyle hospitality brand that combines service, straightforward value, and a seamless, personalized hotel experience. It brands itself as “the much-needed bridge between the current landscape of lifestyle and legacy hotels.” The properties put a heavy focus on technology, which includes Lucy, a mobile concierge app.
