Seven new hospitality professionals will join the team at Vista Collina Resort in Napa, CA. The hotel, opening July 15, announced three new executive positions, including general manager and managing director, as well as four new additions to the culinary team.
Working as the managing director of Meritage Ventures, Shashi Poudyal will manage Vista Collina Resort and The Meritage Resort and Spa, plus other nearby properties. Working for 25 years in the hospitality business, Poudyal spent time in management positions around Southern California, most recently serving as the general manager of Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara.
Dave Elcon, with 15 years of experience, will join Vista Collina Resort as its general manager. In his new position he will run the day-to-day side of the hotel, overseeing sales, marketing, revenue management, hotel staff and food and beverage operations
Vincent Lesage and Mackenzie Coleman will lead the culinary efforts at the resort. As executive chef and chef de cuisine, respectively, they will build and lead the property’s food offerings. They will also conduct hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations at Vista Collina Resort’s Food & Wine Center.
Jennifer Kuofos, the resort’s incoming pastry chef, will oversee the creation of the hotel’s baked goods, creating dishes for the resort’s Fivetown Grocery, Artisan Market and other dining options. Brian Campagna will work as the food and beverage manager. He will manage sales, marketing and the structure of the culinary offerings at Vista Collina Resort. In addition, he will lead its wine and mixology programs.
While Vista Collina Resort won't have its own spa, guests will have access to the one as sister property, Meritage Resort and Spa, where Kathleen McNichols is the new spa director. She has spent many years in wellness management, including ten as the director of the spa at Resort at Squaw Creek; in her new position, McNichols will oversee spa and wellness operations at Meritage Resort and Spa and Vista Collina Resort.
