Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is undergoing a renovation project, which is expected to be completed by spring 2022. A new signature French brasserie restaurant concept will be added to the property as part of the upgrade, besides the redesign of lobby-level social spaces and the elevation of the spa experience. The renovation will also unveil refurbished accommodations, including a complete refresh of all 127 guestrooms, new residence-style suites and a redesigned Presidential Suite.
Set to debut first is Brassica, a Southern interpretation of a classic French brasserie, on the lobby level. Guests can enjoy a dining experience that draws culinary inspirations from Georgia and the American South. Expect tableside presentations and dishes such as Duck Rillettes with pickled vegetables, Buttermilk Fried Gulf Oysters, Cast Iron Steak Frites and the Brassica Roast Chicken for two. To spearhead the new culinary experience at Brassica, the hotel has appointed Executive Chef Christophe Le Métayer. The classically trained French chef has displayed his culinary skills and passion throughout his three-decade career, which spans roles with the former Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead, and his own restaurants, including the Michelin-recognized Saint Martin outside of Paris.
The luxury hotel will introduce the Peacock Alley lounge, which pays homage to the iconic gathering space at the flagship Waldorf Astoria New York, and will showcase a cocktail program focused on the evolution of the American craft cocktail. The new cocktail menu will showcase classics alongside elevated interpretations of familiar favorites. The secluded, light-filled Solarium will provide an idyllic setting for visitors to enjoy private dining or the hotel’s signature afternoon-tea service. Once complete, the newly redesigned lobby level will serve as a haven for locals and guests alike.
All guestrooms at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead will be refreshed with new designs, updated furnishings and linens in partnership with Frette. All one-bedroom suites will be enhanced with new luxury amenities and offerings. The hotel will also introduce two one-bedroom Astoria Suites with dedicated kitchenettes, along with the facility to connect them to neighboring rooms using the Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton booking experience.
The renovation will also include a newly redesigned Presidential Suite, sporting a new kitchen and elegant living spaces. Offering 2,340 square feet of space, the redesigned suite will offer two private terraces, a living room, dining room, a fireplace, and a palatial master bedroom and bathroom. Guests will also have the option to connect the suite with an adjoining room to make it a larger two-bedroom suite.
