Located within the 60-story Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard building, the new Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is in the heart of the city’s famous Ratchaprasong intersection. That means guests are within walking distance of renowned shopping centers, such as the Gaysorn Village mall, and near both lines of the Bangkok Mass Transit System Skytrain. Other nearby highlights include the Charoen Krung Creative District, the iconic Grand Palace and the city’s flower market.
Tip: The resort is also just a few minutes from the Erawan Shrine, considered a “can’t-miss” attraction in Bangkok. The shrine is a worship site where residents and tourists gather, make ceremonial offerings and watch Thai dance performances. Once there, guests can explore the nearby CentralWorld, one of the largest shopping malls and entertainment complexes in the world.
Looking for natural beauty right in the city? Spend time in Lumphini Park, where guests can go jogging, bird watching or paddle-boating on the lake.
For the most luxurious stay at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, choose the Royal Suite. This 3,229-square-foot, top-floor retreat has two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room that seats eight, a kitchen and bar and screening / audio room. In total, there are 171 residential-style guestrooms and suites.
We suggest couples opt for the Astoria Suite, which offers similar amenities in a more intimate space. Not going for a suite? Ask for a Twin Deluxe room on a high floor; they’re a spacious 538 square feet.
The Waldorf Astoria Bangkok has six restaurants and bars. The Front Room is run by Chef Rungthiwa Chummongkhon, who brings her experience working at Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe to present a blend of “new Nordic” and Thai flavors in her dishes. The Champagne Bar, located on Level 57, has a menu of fine champagnes, handcrafted cocktails and great views of Bangkok in a chic setting.
Additional amenities include a wellness spa and fitness center, as well as plenty of events space, which are well-suited for weddings.
