What’s New at Six Senses Resorts in The Maldives

Located in the Maldives, both Six Senses Kanuhura and Six Senses Laamu have added an array of new offerings and initiatives in wellness, adventure and sustainability for summer 2025.

From now until November, off-season in the Maldives means fewer guests, more savings and the same signature barefoot luxury. During this time, the beaches at Six Senses Kanuhura and Six Senses Laamu double as nesting grounds for green and hawksbill turtles; marine biologists alert guests when hatchlings erupt, offering front-row seats to the spectacle. While divers and snorkelers may see manta rays year-round in the Laamu Atoll, September and October are perfect months to witness these gentle creatures around Kanuhura, too.

Six Senses Kanuhura

Six Senses Kanuhura is offering new “Female Wellness” programs with a focus on perimenopause, menopause and holistic female well-being. These three-, five- or seven-day wellness journeys are designed to empower women with the insights and tools to keep their hormones and metabolism balanced through times of transition and during their monthly cycle.

New to Six Senses Kanuhura is a “Mindful Stargazing” experience, which begins with stargazing, where telescopes are pre-set in optimal locations for viewing celestial objects. An instructor introduces various stars, planets and other astronomical phenomena. This is followed by moonlight meditation and a singing bowl session.

Six Senses Kanuhura, separately, provides a dedicated space on-site for Maldivian artisan Ibrahim Solih. His workshop is a creative hub melding sustainability and craftsmanship. Solih transforms waste and upcycled materials into stunning works of art including ice-cream cups, jewelry and souvenirs crafted from coconut shells, wood scraps, building materials, broken furniture, metal, glass and plastic. Guests are invited to participate in select workshops, and take home a sustainably crafted keepsake.

Tip: With Six Senses Kanuhura’s “Limited-Time Offer,” guests can save up to 45 percent on villa accommodations, along with reduced transfer fees, complimentary dining options and free stays for children. The offer is valid for stays until October 15, 2025.

Six Senses Laamu

Six Senses Laamu offers a unique surf holiday blending board action with the art of island relaxation. Guests can cruise the beginner-friendly Shoulders or ride the Yin Yangs right-hander with expert guides from TropicSurf. For beginners, Six Senses Laamu is offering a “Lean to Surf” experience including three one-on-one lessons, daily breakfast and dinner for two, and a 60-minute post-swells massage at the spa for two people per stay.

The resort is also celebrating the two-year anniversary of its Sea Hub of Environmental Learning in Laamu (SHELL), a 2,336 square-foot exhibition space, which invites guests, hosts and Maldivian residents to explore and learn about local marine life. Investing further in marine conservation, SHELL houses a working marine laboratory run by the Maldives Underwater Initiative (MUI), a collaborative endeavor with marine biologists from Six Senses Laamu, working hand in hand with three partnering NGOs: Manta Trust, Blue Marine Foundation and Olive Ridley Project.

With Six Senses Laamu’s “Limited-Time Offer,” guests can save up to 40 percent on villa accommodations, along with half-price seaplane transfer fees, half-board dining and complimentary accommodation and dining for children up to 11 years. The offer is valid for stays until September 30, 2025.
