Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection, a 140-acre retreat located in Hudson Valley, is scheduled to open on October 1. It is located 90 minutes from New York City.
Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed into the Great Porch, an open-air lobby with large format botanical art and framed antique textiles on display. Cabins, cottages and suites will make use of natural materials, including wood-clad ceilings and re-worked canvas on the walls.
Guests’ stays will be rooted in a strong connection to the farmland on which the resort sits. The centerpiece restaurant, Clay, offers healthy food options made from seasonal produce, heritage fruits, proteins and herbs picked from the onsite and neighboring farms. Orchards, heirloom gardens, farm animals, forested footpaths and fields of wildflowers will play host to hands-on experiences, such as foraging, organic vegetable farming, botanical mixology sessions and picnics around the property.
A cornerstone of the property journey will be Maplehouse, a farm education center that will feature weekly hands-on classes and a cooking school with events hosted by chefs. Besides championing sustainability and re-wilding of the land, the culinary and farm teams will be stewards of a mindful, regenerative way of living, encouraging a future of enacting positive environmental change.
Thistle, an Auberge Spa is a 9,000-square-foot sanctuary featuring five single and one couples’ treatment rooms, outdoor hot tubs, indoor saltwater pool and apothecary. The resort grounds will also be home to The Pavillion, a 3000-square-foot fitness studio constructed from all wood joinery, a three-mile walking trail connecting all elements of the property, an outdoor pool and Dew Bar.
Situated where the Hudson River Valley meets the foothills of the Catskill mountain range, Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection will also offer access to the Mohonk Preserve, a private reserve known for hiking, biking and rock climbing, and the area’s orchards and farms, distilleries, art galleries, antique markets and state parks.
The resort also offers over 15,000 square feet of event space for weddings, celebrations, meetings and retreats.
