YTL Hotels announced the grand opening of Spa Village Koh Samui, located at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui in Thailand. The newest addition to the hotel company’s Spa Village Collection offers a variety of treatments, massages and therapies, many centered on the local coconut.
The 41,000 square-foot spa offers eight treatment suites, three open-air massage pavilions, an infinity pool and cabanas. The program here centers on revitalizing treatments that employ local ingredients and their therapeutic properties. The spa’s signature treatment, the Coconut Heritage Treatment, starts off with a full body scrub using coconut meat and walnuts. Visitors then receive a coconut flow massage using virgin coconut oils, followed by a concluding Coconut Hair Masque.
Spa Village Koh Samui also offers a pre-ritual Songkran Shower treatment involving a specially designed rain shower table and a raw coconut husk scrub. The spa’s Blessed Flowers treatment provides guests with a raw flower-infused massage. The Thai Aquatic Freedom therapy suspends visitors in water as they stretch, softening muscles and relieving stiffness.
The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui stretches across 58 acres and includes two isolated beaches. The oceanfront hotel provides guests with 175 suites and pool villas. It offers a fitness center, tennis court, swimming pool, surfing, boogie boarding, sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddling and snorkeling.
