Mark your calendars for December 15, 2017 - March, 15 2018: London’s popular Zuma restaurant is opening a winter pop-up on Phuket. The contemporary Japanese eatery—serving up signature dishes like spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, sliced yellowtail with green chili and miso-marinated black cod—will be returning to the Anantara Layan for a savory winter season. The pop-up restaurant will be located in the beachside setting of Sala Layan, overlooking the pool and beach—a prime spot for watching the sunset while international guest DJs spin the soundtrack.
Zuma first launched in Knightsbridge in 2002 and today has 11 international locations including Miami, New York, Las Vegas, Istanbul, Rome, Dubai, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Zuma is all about the informal izakaya dining style, meaning lots of plates to be shared, from the sushi counter, kitchen and the robata grill.
Anantara Layan resort is located on the west coast of Phuket. Nestled on a quiet stretch of Layan Beach overlooking the turquoise Andaman Sea, the resort combines relaxation with adventure. Zuma New York recently debuted its Omakase Gochiso brunch service. Omakase Gochiso (or "Chef’s Feast") was devised by executive chef Oliver Lange, and provides brunch fare in Zuma’s signature style.
