In April, The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel opened its doors as part of the Autograph Collection, just steps from The Pantheon, as the name suggests.
Each of the 79 guestrooms, including 20 suites, has luxurious upholstery, bathrooms fashioned in marble and glass and color schemes that gradually brighten on each ascending floor. Standard in-room amenities include comfortable king beds, OLED Smart TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi and Samsung Smartphone Manets. What we love: In addition to a minibar, each room also has a mini-“wine cellar” with three full-sized bottles — just let the hotel know if you have a favorite vintage and it will be there waiting for you.
If you’re looking for a room with the best view, consider The Pantheon Suite, which overlooks the Pantheon; The Dioniso Suite, which has a terrace overlooking the rooftops and the beautiful church of Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza; or the Santa Chiara Suite, which has views of Piazza Sant’Eustachio.
To explore the city, the hotel suggests the “Artisans of Oscar Winning Tours.” Guests will visit two ateliers that have produced costumes worn in Oscar-winning films. Another option is “The Rebirth of Contemporary Handicraft,” to discover jewelry, furniture and collector’s items found in the shops in the alleyways of the local neighborhood.
Michelin-starred chef Pasquale Palamaro leads the hotel’s Dionysus Restaurant. The chef will offer tasting menus, with themes such as “Spring Walks by the Sea” and “A Sea of Ideas.” The menu is complemented by an international wine list with over 400 labels. Your meal even comes with a show: Dionysus has an LED glass window into the kitchen that allows diners to watch their dishes being prepared. What to choose? We say, opt for the sea urchins on buffalo mozzarella sauce and salted lemon.
Six stories above street level, Divinity Terrace Lounge Bar has 360-degree views of the city. It’s a stylish setting with an impressive wine collection and light dishes. For enquiries, contact Francesca Gori (francescagori@thepantheonhotel.com), director of sales and marketing.
