London’s dining hotspot Novikov, located in the affluent Mayfair area, has opened its first U.S. outpost in downtown Miami. Designed by famous designer Adam D. Tihany, Novikov Miami emulates the original as a high-end Chinese/Japanese concept.
This endeavor marks the first U.S. location for chef-owner, Arkadiy Novikov, a restaurateur in Moscow with over 50 restaurants to his name. The Miami outpost showcases Asian cuisine in a high-energy setting, situated on a lively corner of downtown Miami offering views of Biscayne Bay.
The Asian menu encompasses robata grill and wok dishes, along with an extensive dim sum and sushi selection. The cuisine at Novikov has gourmet touches like Slow Poached Quail Egg Gunkan with Truffle and Novikov Peking Duck with Royal Caviar. Other signature dishes include Black Cod Rolls and A5 Wagyu Sirloin with Chili Daikon. Novikov also has a seafood and vegetable market display, whereby guests are encouraged to handpick items from a globally sourced, daily selection of seasonal ingredients.
Novikov Restaurant and Bar is the first Miami project for hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany, who worked as a design consultant to Peacock + Lewis in the development of the project. Novikov’s design includes an open kitchen concept and unique décor such as wave-like ribs on the ceiling that emanate from the center, textured wood walls, and structural columns reimagined as tree trunks.
For an intimate dining experience, guests can dine at the sushi bar and private chef’s table. Or, guests can enjoy the Miami weather while dining al fresco on the outside terrace, overlooking Biscayne Bay.
