Minor Hotels Ups The Ante in Milan

“Milan? Si, si, si!” So says Minor Hotels as it continues its push into Europe’s luxury market with the opening of Tivoli President Milano, a reimagined five-star property in the heart of the Italian capital of fashion, Milan.

Located in Largo Augusto, just a five-minute walk from the Duomo and on the edge of the Quadrilatero della Moda, the hotel leans heavily into location, and rightly so. Positioned between Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga, it drops guests straight into Milan’s luxury ecosystem, with landmarks like the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Teatro alla Scala within easy reach.

The 239-room property — including 60 suites, six of which look directly onto the Duomo — is a full repositioning of the former NH Collection Milano President. Now under the Tivoli Hotels & Resorts flag, the hotel has been given a top-to-bottom refresh, with interiors led by Rodrigo Izquierdo that balance contemporary design with the building’s rationalist architectural bones.

Slathering a delicious layer of icing on top of the luxurious cake is the new 150-square-meter Presidential Suite which comes with access to a panoramic rooftop overlooking the Duomo.

Add to that a forthcoming wellness area in partnership with Starpool (complete with Zerobody Dry Float beds), a Technogym fitness center, upgraded meeting and event spaces, and a new restaurant in the pipeline overlooking Largo Augusto in the pipeline alongside a steady drumbeat of programming from aperitivo sessions to curated social events, Tivoli President Milano is top of its class in Milan, no small feat as the destination is one of Europe’s most competitive luxury markets.

“Milan is one of Europe’s most influential luxury destinations, and Tivoli President Milano is a key milestone in the growth of the brand," Gonzalo Aguilar, the CEO Minor Hotels for Europe & America said. "Having a five-star Tivoli in the heart of the city strengthens our luxury portfolio and allows us to offer guests an exceptional experience defined by elegant design, outstanding service and an unrivalled location near the Duomo.”

Tivoli President Milano is Tivoli’s third property in Italy, following the openings of Tivoli Portopiccolo Sistiana Wellness Resort & Spa in 2023, Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi in Florence in 2024 and the newly announced Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce, set to open in April 2026.
