Rosewood Opens The Doors Of Its Red Sea Paradise

It's rosy news for Saudi Arabia's AMAALA as Rosewood Hotels & Resorts officially opens the doors of Rosewood AMAALA.

The luxury brand’s first resort in Saudi Arabia located within Triple Bay at AMAALA between the mountains and the Red Sea comprises 110 pool villas, all facing the Red Sea.

“The opening of Rosewood AMAALA marks an important milestone for Rosewood as we introduce our first resort in Saudi Arabia,” said Luca Finardi, vice president of operations for the EMEA region at Rosewood.

Villas come with private pools and sand-lined terraces, while larger options add full kitchens, outdoor barbecue areas and dedicated butler service.

A lot of attention has been paid to wellness. The resort’s 2,100-square-meter Asaya wellness space features six treatment rooms and a double suite, private hammam, saunas, steam rooms, fitness centers and studios for yoga and movement. Guests can also try their hand at Sadu weaving and calligraphy, alongside sound work, breathwork, ecology walks and sunrise yoga. For those looking to dial it up several notches, three Asaya Lodges also have private gardens and treatment rooms for immersive stays of five nights or more.

Of course, all that restoring and renewing works up an appetite, and guests have the choice of eight restaurants and lounges including Mediterranean-inspired Olea, Middle Eastern Saha, wood-and-charcoal cooking at The Grill Bar & Restaurant, and ceviches and crudo beside the water at Puro Cove Club.

“Everything here begins with the Red Sea," said Gerald Chevasson, managing director of Rosewood AMAALA. "It sets the pace of the day, shapes our wellness rituals, inspires the food we cook and the way we receive guests.”

Rosewood AMAALA is the latest in a slew of major luxury additions to that corner of the Saudi coast, following names such as Four Seasons which opened its AMAALA resort in June and Six Senses which started welcoming guests in July.
