Conrad Punta de Mita in Mexico has appointed Christopher Anderson as its new director of sales and marketing. Bringing over 15 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Anderson will helm the resort’s global communication and sales efforts, and provide strategic leadership and direction to drive revenue and implement business goals aimed to propel the newly opened property as a leader in the region’s hospitality market.
Having worked across the U.S. from Washington D.C. to San Francisco, Anderson adds a new market to his resume. He joins Conrad Punta de Mita team from Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, where he oversaw all sales and marketing efforts for the non-gaming resort for nearly three years. A California native, Anderson says he loves nature and celebrates an outdoor lifestyle. During his tenure, he aims to implement new programs, activations and partnerships, although none were specified in the announcement.
Conrad Punta de Mita opened in Riviera Nayarit in September 2020. The property recently launched its new signature restaurant, Codex, that debuts alongside a culinary program of four restaurants and three bar concepts.
In addition, all 324 guest rooms and suites have views of the Pacific Ocean, with suites offering large patios, plunge pools, freestanding soaking tubs and outdoor showers. The Conrad SPA has an indoor/outdoor design and traditional temazcal spread across 10,000 square feet. Nearby activities include zip lining, sailing and seasonal whale watching. Conrad Punta de Mita is located in the same private development as the Litibu Golf Course, offering guests an 18-hole golf experience designed by Greg Norman.
