Earlier this month, Deutsche Hospitality announced its intent to expand and restructure its sales with a more international focus. As part of the changes, a Director Leisure Sales International Hotels rolse has been created for the brand’s Leisure Sales division, which will be filled by Fotis Fakes. Most recently, Fakes was responsible for the development of the hotel portfolio at DER Touristsk in Greece, as well as the DER brands’ marketing and sales in Greece.
The Deutsche Hospitality international resort hotel portfolio is already taking shape with several recent openings around the world, including the Steigenberger Golf & Spa Resort on Mallorca, the Steigenberger Hotel Kantaoui Bay in Tunisia and the Jaz Hotel Tour Khalef in Sousse, Tunisia. The Steigenberger Thalasso & Spa, Hammamet (also in Tunisia) is also set to open in the near future. A Steigenberger brand resort on the Cape Verde Islands is also planned.
From this August, Benjamin Richter will be helming the Leisure Sales Central European Hotels division for Deutsche Hospitality. Richter has nine years of experience in the tourism arena, and has been working in Deutsche Hospitality’s Sales division for over a year now. COO of Deutsche Hospitality Thomas Willms says: “We are delighted about our growth over the last few years and we are creating even better sales structures for our portfolio with this step.”
