Four Seasons Names Former ALG CEO Alejandro Reynal to Same Role

Alejandro Reynal, the former president and CEO of Apple Leisure Group (ALG) is taking over the role of chief executive officer at Four Seasons, effective Monday, October 17. He succeeds John Davison, who last year announced his intention to retire in 2022, while helping the company find his replacement. Davison remains a member of the Four Seasons Board of Directors.

With more than two decades of executive leadership experience in the travel and hospitality, business services and telecommunications industries, Reynal most recently served as President and CEO of Apple Leisure Group. In his time with ALG, he oversaw a collection of subsidiary companies, including AMResorts; destination management service providers Amstar DMC and Worldstar; a portfolio of vacation brands, such as Apple Vacations, Travel Impressions, CheapCaribbean.com and Funjet Vacations; the Unlimited Vacation Club loyalty program; and technology provider, TriSept Solutions. Reynal was also in charge when the company was bought by Hyatt Hotels Corporation for $2.7 billion in 2021.

From 2011 to 2019, Reynal served as CEO of Atento, a global customer relationship management and business process outsourcing services company. Earlier in his career, Reynal held strategic management positions at Telefonica and The Coca-Cola Company.

Four Seasons Founder and Chairman Isadore Sharp said in a statement, “John Davison has been a tremendous leader and colleague for more than 20 years, and I am deeply grateful to him and our executive leadership team for their unwavering leadership through some of the hospitality industry’s most challenging times. Alejandro joins Four Seasons as we mark the start of a new chapter, building upon our legacy of success and a culture that we have collectively championed over more than 60 years. He is a proven leader and executive, and even more importantly, a person of integrity with a deep commitment to excellence and a keen understanding of Four Seasons values and genuine heart.”

Davison joined Four Seasons in 2002 and, after successive leadership roles in the company, was appointed CFO in 2005. In 2018, Davison was appointed interim-CEO and was permanently appointed to this position in 2019. Before joining Four Seasons, Davison spent 14 years at Imax Corp., rising to president, COO and CFO.
