Hyatt Resorts Maui has appointed Kalikolehua Storer as Hawaiian culture and training specialist at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort and Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa. Storer will work on associate talent development, guest experiences, storytelling and educational programming led by local experts in her expanded regional roll.
Storer was an integral part in making the exclusive storyline for the resort’s multi-course luxury luau, Feast at Mokapu. Entertainers showcase the backstory of Hawaii’s Polynesian ancestors arriving on Maui and settling into their lives through music and native dance.
Additionally, the new Hawaiian culture and training specialist is facilitating continuous charitable efforts to support the Pu’u Kukui Watershed preservation, Maui Nui Botanical Gardens and Kaho’olawe Island Reserve Commission. The Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association recently recognized Andaz Maui as the 2019 recipient of the Sustainability Achievement award.
Storer has over 20 years of experience with the Hyatt brand. Previously, she held various positions, including recreation attendant and front office agent at the Hyatt Regency Maui, and has led departments such as reservations, front office, guest services and housekeeping, at both the Hyatt Regency Maui and Andaz Maui.
