Jumeirah Group has appointed Glenn Carroll as its new vice president, sales and marketing Europe and Americas. Carroll now oversees a sales region that delivers approximately 60 percent of rooms revenue for Jumeirah. Reporting directly to Alexander Lee, chief commercial officer, Carroll and his team will support the international expansion strategy for the Group as outlined by Jumeirah CEO, José Silva as he prepares to take the Jumeirah brand global.
Carroll will lead global sales offices in London, Frankfurt, Moscow and the U.S., as well as Jumeirah’s sales and marketing teams across Europe. He joins Jumeirah having previously worked for leading hospitality brands such as InterContinental Hotel Group, where he was vice president commercial for Europe, as well as Corinthia, Oberoi and COMO Hotels and Resorts, where he held various senior management sales and marketing positions.
Lee, the CCO, said in a written release that his team’s focus “is on fostering great relationships founded on trust within both our GSO network and with operators and partners.”
In addition to his 30-year career in hospitality sales and marketing, Carroll is a Patron of the English National Ballet and a supporter of theatre and classical music at various London venues.
Jumeirah currently operates 20 hotels luxury hotels and resorts internationally and more than 100 restaurants.
