Marco Novella has been named managing director at The Lanesborough, Oetker Collection’s London property. In his new role, Novella will be overseeing the operations of the The Lanesborough, while driving growth and ensuring service excellence in all departments.
Succeeding longstanding managing director, Geoffrey Gelardi, Novella joins Oetker Collection after working for several top hotel groups throughout Europe. His first position as hotel manager at The St. Regis Grand in Rome in 1999 led him to become the general manager of another Starwood Hotels & Resorts property, The Gritti Palace, in Venice. In 2010, he became managing director of Villa San Michele in Florence, part of Belmond. His most recent position was as managing director of Brown’s Hotel London in 2016.

The Oetker Collection comprises ten luxury hotels. In addition to The Lanesborough, which offers “classically British service in a remarkably vibrant and elegant London residence,” the collection includes L’Apogée Courchevel, Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, Le Bristol Paris, Château Saint-Martin & Spa, Eden Rock – St Barths, Fregate Island Private, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Jumby Bay Island and Palácio Tangará.
