Seasoned hospitality industry veteran Remus Palimaru has started his new post as hotel manager at the Rosewood London.
He began this new position on Monday, July 24. In this new role, he reports directly to managing director Michael Bonsor and oversees all hotel operations, including all 262 rooms and 44 suites, as well as the on-site Scarfe’s Bar, Mirror Room, Holborn Dining Room and Sense Spa.
Palimaru has worked in the industry for 15 years and worked in five different countries. Most recently he served as the hotel manager at the award-winning Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico, where he worked for the past three years. Throughout his career, he has also held other senior positions at various Ritz-Carlton properties across the world from Atlanta, Grand Cayman, Toronto, and Osaka.
In a written release, Palimaru said that after six hotels and resorts and several openings, he is “very pleased” to return to Europe.
The Rosewood London is located in the heart of London on High Holborn, housed in the original headquarters of the Pearl Assurance Company where it showcases a “sensitive” renovation of the 1914 Edwardian, Grade II-listed building. New York-based architecture-firm Tony Chi & Associates created the interiors of the public areas including 12 event spaces and the Mirror Room.
