The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe has announced the appointment of André Priemer as general manager. Priemer joins the luxury mountain resort with more than three decades of hospitality management experience; he will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the resort, including financial performance, employee and guest engagement, community relationships, partnerships and talent development.
Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, Priemer served as area managing director for Resort at Squaw Creek, also located in the Lake Tahoe area of Northern California. Priemer first joined the Destination Hotels & Resorts property six years ago as resort manager, and has held roles including general manager, managing director and area managing director. In addition to the Resort at Squaw Creek, he also oversaw The Landing Resort & Spa in South Lake Tahoe.
Prior to his time working with Resort at Squaw Creek and The Landing Resort & Spa, Priemer held leadership roles with Hilton Hotels Worldwide, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, COMO Hotels, Luxury Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels (specifically with The St. Regis brand).
Priemer is a graduate of the College for Hotel Management located in Marburg, Germany, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Management.
The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe has slope-side ski-in, ski-out access in winter and mountain concierge services for golfing, mountain biking and hiking in the summer. Dining venues include Manzanita, the resort's signature restaurant, The Backyard Bar & BBQ and Café Blue. The resort has 170 guestrooms, 23 private Ritz-Carlton Residences, a 17,000-square-foot spa and fitness center and an inter-mountain gondola that connects the resort to the nearby Village at Northstar.
