The first of Crystal River Cruise's newest “Rhine Class” river yachts, Crystal Bach, is embarking on her maiden voyage in August – and with her comes the announcement of the top officials on board.
The captain of the Crystal Bach will be Lukas Zatschkowitsch, a native of Vienna. A seasoned captain on Europe’s rivers for the past 15 years, his experience dates even further back to his childhood, riding aboard his father’s boat along the Danube, Rhine and Main Rivers.
Crystal Bach will embark for the first time on August 13, 2017 as the first of four of the Crystal brand’s “Rhine Class” river yachts. She will sail 10- 14-day itineraries between Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Basel while visiting other destinations along the Rhine and Moselle Rivers such as Cologne, Koblenz, Breisach and Antwerp.
Crystal’s CEO and president Edie Rodriguez said in a written release that the brand has always made a point to designate “the highest caliber of professionals at every level of service aboard [its] ships,” as they are rooted to the quality of guests’ experiences. He assures passengers that Captain Zatschkowitsch and his officers will oversee “every luxurious detail” during Crystal Bach’s maiden voyage.
