International real estate developer Euro Capital Properties appointed Jeff David as managing director of The Watergate Hotel, which reopened in June 2016 following a $200 million renovation. David’s five-star pedigree spans 24 years, and will be responsible for continuing the success of the luxury hotel in Washington, D.C.
David joined the Watergate Hotel team from boutique luxury hotel Greydon House in Nantucket, MA, where he was managing partner. Prior to Greydon House, David opened and managed The Knickerbocker, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and the first luxury hotel in Times Square, following a renovation project.
David’s experience also includes six years with Viceroy Hotel Group as a general manager for Viceroy Anguilla, British West Indies and Viceroy Snowmass, Colorado; he opened the Tides Hotel in South Beach Miami and oversaw the Viceroy Palm Springs in California. Earlier in his career, he worked with Four Seasons’ Hotels & Resorts, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts’ Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, as well as several luxury New England properties, which includes the Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod, MA and The Chanler at Cliffwalk in Newport, RI.
David graduated with a bachelor of fine arts from the University of California in Los Angeles and received his certificate in Wine Stewardship from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley. He was awarded Hotelier of the Year in 2012.
The Watergate Hotel has 336 guestrooms, including six Diplomat Suites, 24 premier suites, and two Presidential Suites, 27,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including a brand-new ballroom and 10,000 square feet of outdoor terraces, in addition to a new spa.
The Watergate Hotel will be the location of Luxury Travel Advisor's ULTRA Summit 2017.
