The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Georgia, has announced the appointment of Shah Adil as managing director. In his new role, Adil will provide 25 years of hospitality experience to oversee daily operations at the property and maintain the hotel’s employee and customer service standards.
A seasoned professional in the hospitality industry, Adil joins The Whitley as a recognized leader within HEI Hotels & Resorts. Prior to joining The Whitley, Adil was named 2018’s General Manager of the Year by Marriott International for his role at Westin Atlanta Perimeter North. He has also held senior leadership positions at Hyatt Hotels for more than two decades with a notable record in key markets including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and more. Adil studied hospitality in Switzerland and at the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University where he earned his MBA in management.
Located in the center of Atlanta’s urban neighborhood of Buckhead, The Whitley has 507 guestrooms, including 56 luxury suites, offering views of the Atlanta skyline. Founded by John Whitley, The Whitley aims to maintain Buckhead’s historic purpose as a meeting space, providing a setting for gatherings of all kinds, with over 30 event spaces covering 40,000 square feet.
