Anguilla’s Zemi Beach House is revamping its culinary program with new a new food & beverage director, along with the launch of complimentary breakfast and new restaurant menus. Ivo Scheunemann, named new food & beverage director, brings nearly 15 years of food and beverage managerial experience to the position. He specializes in mixology and wine programs and working with restaurant teams to create a memorable guest experience.
At Zemi Beach House, Scheunemann is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the culinary team and overseeing the operations at the hotel’s four restaurant concepts: Stone, 20 Knots, Shoal Bay Beach Club and the Rhum Room. He is also in charge of catering and in-room dining.
In his new position, Scheunemann has already helped Zemi Beach House roll out its new complimentary breakfast buffet; offering a selection of grilled vegetables, roasted potatoes, smoked salmon, egg dishes, fresh fruits and more. In addition, under Scheunemann’s guidance, the hotel introduced revamped menus at Stone and 20 Knots with dishes that combine Indonesian flavor with Caribbean fare.
Prior to joining Zemi Beach House, Scheunemann most recently served as the food & beverage manager for The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa in Bali where he was responsible for overseeing the hotel’s two restaurants and three bars, as well as its catering services for weddings and events. Before Seminyak, he acted as food & beverage manager for various luxury hotels throughout the world, including Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman, Baros Maldives, and Grand Spa Resort A-Rosa Kitzbühel in Austria, as well as several Hyatt Regency properties in San Antonio, Texas, Germany, and Tajikistan.
