Questex, the company that produces Luxury Travel Advisor and a number of other products covering the travel, wellness and hospitality sectors, has experienced a lot of exciting changes over the last few months. 

MidOcean Partners acquired Questex with a goal to invest in the business and achieve growth.

And as part of the acquisition, I joined as CEO. The key rationale for me making this move was that I saw a company with massive potential, serving markets that are vibrant, growing and experiencing levels of disruption that are creating opportunities. In addition to digital assets, Questex produces world-class events, such as the International Hotel Investment Forum in Berlin and the Nightclub & Bar event in Las Vegas. From hotels to food and beverage to spas and travel, we are able to connect the entire ecosystem, helping to bring communities together and discuss solutions to the disruption that is a constant in today’s business environment.

Fundamentally, Questex and its products connect buyers and sellers to help companies connect with the right person at the right time with the right message. We do this through a variety of vehicles from advertising in Luxury Travel Advisor to hosting buyers and sellers at our annual ULTRA Summit, Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange (GMITE) and other events. We recently brought together our Wellness, Travel and Hospitality offerings under the direction of new Group President, John Siefert, who will enable us to take a leadership position in the burgeoning “experience economy.”

We have also been hard at work launching new products and solutions under the “Q-Suite” brand. From the qualitative research product, QMetric, that provides fast ‘Voice of the Customer’ snapshots to companies looking to understand customer sentiment to our QAllAccess content marketing programs that educate in engaging 15-minute video segments, we are excited to introduce these new, cutting-edge solutions to our customers.

All of our work is being done in an environment where you, the audience for our products, are placed at the center of the strategy. We see Luxury Travel Advisor as a core information vehicle to help travel advisors and the industry at large as we focus on one of the fastest-growing segments in the sector.
