Questex Travel Group, publisher of the travel industry’s only luxury-focused publication Luxury Travel Advisor, announced it will co-locate its two intimate, luxury events again in 2019—the ULTRA Summit and ULTRA Wellness. The events will take place together at Reunion, A Salamander Resort in Kissimmee, FL from May 21-23, 2019.
ULTRA Summit is an exclusive, longtime beloved event that continues to bring together luxury travel agency owners and managers with the most opulent, luxury suppliers for two and a half days of collaboration, connection and innovation.
Organizers hosted the first ULTRA Wellness event in May 2018 alongside the fifth edition of the ULTRA Summit. The idea for a luxury wellness travel event was born from the enormous success of ULTRA Summit and the staggering growth of the wellness travel marketplace, which is expected to reach $808 billion by 2020, according to the Global Wellness Institute.
ULTRA Wellness brings tangible revenue opportunities to the forefront for advisors who influence affluent luxury wellness travelers, and luxury supplier brands who identify as wellness products including spas, hotels, cruise lines and destinations with wellness programs and itineraries.
Co-locating the two events enables suppliers maximum face time with leading luxury advisors, as well as the opportunity to gain a foothold in both luxury and luxury wellness travel. Both events are invitation-only, fully hosted advisor programs and each have garnered rave reviews from both suppliers and advisors alike.
ULTRA Summit for sure is no stranger to receiving accolades including the following from vice president of sales for Star Clippers, Terri Haas:
“We returned to ULTRA for the second year because of the opportunity to reach this elite group of luxury advisors, the speakers and content, and the ability to really focus on the future of the luxury travel business,” said Haas. “ULTRA delivers a quality event which has resulted in new and increased business.”
As always, ULTRA Summit was extremely well-received by advisors.
“The survey data and market research were invaluable,” said Victoria Boomgarden, president, Direct Travel Luxe. “I so enjoyed that content.”
“Attending the ULTRA Summit has been very important for my business,” said Maria Price, CEO, The Luxury Travel Studio. “This event brings us up-to-date with new ways of crafting the ultimate travel experience for our clients and provides the perfect platform to connect with peers and especially with great suppliers.”
Questex was certainly hopeful that the ULTRA Wellness program would resonate with the audience, and luckily their instincts were right on the money.
“ULTRA Wellness was an excellent platform to meet with very engaged advisors invested in wellness,” said Denise Bruzzone, vice president of sales for Canyon Ranch. “The timing, length of the event and location all aligned.”
“I attended ULTRA Wellness not knowing what to expect and was blown away by the quality of information shared and advisors in attendance,” said Meg Hellmuth, associate director of sales, Park Hyatt St. Kitts. “I do hope to have the opportunity to attend again.”
Advisors agreed that co-locating ULTRA Summit and ULTRA Wellness was the right move, hence the decision to do so again in 2019.
“The mix of advisors and suppliers was wonderful. It was great to combine the wellness and luxury events so we could network with everyone in attendance,” said Susan Jeske, Finding Paradise with Sue/Travelwize, a Virtuoso Affiliate.
Elements of both events will include up to 20 one-to-one appointments between suppliers and advisors, valuable conference content curated by Luxury Travel Advisor and American Spa magazines, and multiple networking meals and receptions including Luxury Travel Advisor’s Awards of Excellence reception.
Invitations will begin distributing to advisors in January 2019. Luxury suppliers are encouraged to reserve a place at either event or both by visiting LeisureTravelEvents.com. For more information, visit LeisureTravelEvents.com.
