Signature Travel Network’s latest initiative, "Embark," offers a new approach to training new travel advisors. In developing the Embark program, Signature aims to address one of the biggest challenges facing travel agency owners today: Finding and nurturing new talent.
The Embark program includes strategies and training programs for recruiting, coaching and training new travel advisors. The organization’s online learning platform, Signature University, is fundamental to the program.
One critical component of the Embark Program is the five-day Sales and Marketing Bootcamp offered at Signature’s headquarters in El Segundo, CA. With separate editions for employees and independent contractors, the objective of the intensive event is to provide a fast-track to success, relying on proven methods for sales, consulting, professional fees and marketing.
The five-day Bootcamp is just one part of a year-long program. It begins with online prerequisite courses, and follows with ongoing coaching, mentoring and post-event training.
Signature Travel Network is a member-owned, travel cooperative established in 1956. Today, the network includes more than 200 member agencies with 589 retail locations in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and the Caribbean. Collectively, Signature members generate more than $8 billion in annual travel sales.
Signature’s objective is to serve the needs of its members: boutique specialists, internet-based marketers and multi-location agencies, among others.
