In November, The St. Regis Atlanta hosted its second annual Out of the Kitchen dining event at the property. Featuring 20 prominent regional chefs, the event raised $204,000 in proceeds for CURE Childhood Cancer, a local nonprofit dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and providing support to children and families facing a cancer diagnosis. Mara Davis, co-host of Atlanta Eats, entertained guests as the master of ceremonies for the dining event.
Chef Jordan Barnett of The St. Regis Atlanta and Chef Philippe Haddad of Cape Dutch served as culinary co-chairs for the event. In setting with live entertainment, 240 guests had personalized, three-course meals tableside, while interacting personally with the chefs. Attendees included dozens of notable Atlantans, such as former Atlanta Braves pitcher and Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, Tom Glavine; comedian Jeff Foxworthy; former long-term Missouri State Representative Dick Gephardt and more. Notable entrees include: Jerk-marinated Australian Wagyu skirt steak, hibiscus shallot jam and yucca coconut, as well as free-range rabbit loin, crepinette, sunchoke confit, kumquats, hazelnut and pasilla mole.
Following their meals, attendees participated in a live auction, where opportunities included an exclusive getaway for eight guests for three nights in a luxury four-bedroom marina residence at the Albany, Bahamas 600-acre luxury resort community along with massages for each guest at The Spa at Albany, complimentary round of golf for each guest and transfers to and from the airport which sold two packages for a total of for $34,000. The evening began with a caviar tasting and champagne reception and ended with a dessert reception presented by Pastry Chef Daniella Lea of The St. Regis Atlanta.
