Robert Romano, a company partner of Fugazi Travel, enjoys the responsibility of directing the agency’s product planning and database marketing. He also manages a portfolio of private FIT clients and specializes in designing luxury adventure and resort travel.
Luxury Travel Advisor caught up with him to ask him his Top Three Management Tips. Romano’s are as follows:
1. Know Your Clients
One example of change I have learned: Know your client and don’t be afraid to sell up when appropriate. As air service diminishes in quality many of us are happy to pay for First Class or Business Class to have a decent start and finish to our trips. Private Jets are becoming increasingly important.
2. Time Management
Something new that has helped my business: Time management. We are working as a team in my office to better manage our most valuable resource, which is our time. We work with preferred partners who understand us and remove transactional pressures from us. This gives us more time as a company to design even more spectacular trips even more quickly.
3. Maintain Quality Without Sacrificing Punctuality
Every day I learn that people want rapid responses. We are constantly challenging ourselves to be able to deliver the best quality product and service within what our customers perceive as a reasonable amount of time.
