Tzell Travel Group recently conducted a survey among their LGBT+ specialized travel advisors on 2018-19 travel trends.
According to the data, Paris is the number one solo travel destination for LGBT+ travel, followed by London and Mykonos. Emerging LGBT+ destinations for 2019 include— Budapest, Denver, Seattle, Buenos Aires and Tokyo. Top destinations for families and cruises is also listed below.
Tzell travel advisor Kelli Carpenter says “suppliers underestimate the importance of LGBT+ sensitivity training for their staff and team. An LGBT+ couple should never feel indignity; they should always feel welcome to their hotel, resort or cruise line.”
Another Tzell travel advisor, Keith Wein, says “LGBT+ travelers are looking for destinations and hotels with their community in mind. They want to be able to travel where they’d like, while still being accepted and treated the same as anyone else.
