Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has announced the return of its popular private jet journey for 2024. Limited to 48 guests, “Wildlife Safari: Around the World by Private Jet” (February 14-March 9, 2024) will offer encounters with rare and often critically endangered wildlife in seven countries around the globe. These include “Japan: Snow Monkey;" “Philippines: Tarsiers & Whale Sharks;" “Malaysia: Honey Bears & Orangutans;" “India: Bengal Tigers;" “Madagascar: Lemurs;" “Uganda: Mountain Gorillas;" and “Kenya: The Big Five.”
Guests can encounter iconic and often critically endangered animals in their natural habitats and meet conservation experts. They can observe little-known species such as the Japanese macaque, also known as the snow monkey, and the tiny Philippine tarsier. They can swim with whale sharks, go behind-the-scenes to observe young orangutans being prepared to return to the jungle, and learn from experts who have spent their lives studying these animals. The journey ends with a safari in East Africa, where A&K began, with a range of wildlife, including the Big Five.
Guests can personalize the journey with a choice of “Design Your Day” activities, including outdoor excursions, cultural encounters and wellness experiences. In Tokyo, they can explore Tsukiji Fish Market with an expert guide, take a day trip to the seaside city of Kamakura or relax at the spa. In Uganda, they can join a member of the local Batwa tribe for a community walk in the village, meet with teachers at a nursing school supported by A&K Philanthropy or relax with a massage treatment surrounded by the forest.
The small-group tours are crafted by A&K’s experienced tour directors and led by a tour manager, assisted by expert local guides. A dedicated photo enrichment coach helps make the most of every wildlife encounter, with tips and advice for capturing animals in their natural habitats. A physician will also travel with the group throughout, while a dedicated luggage manager oversees the handling of luggage between each destination.
Accommodations include luxury safari camps such as Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp and Angama Mara, both of which are reserved exclusively for A&K Private Jet guests. Other options include the Peninsula Tokyo and Six Senses Fort Barwara, a former 14th-century fort. Meals will be accompanied by local entertainment, and guests will also have opportunities to experience the local cuisine at restaurants of their choice in Tokyo and Cebu.
A&K’s chartered Boeing 757 includes 48 first-class, lie-flat seats and a range of amenities.
