Celebrated Experiences this week announced the appointment of four new Executive Team members. In adding the “travel industry innovators,” Celebrated Experiences will supplement the services they offer to the travel advisor community, as well as the tools they deliver for its Celebrated Hotels, Homes, guides, drivers and experience makers.
Two of the team members will take the lead on client engagement. Dana Welch will join as chief client engagement officer and Cameron MacMillan as the company’s new vice president of engagement and innovation. Together, they will oversee client education opportunities, corporate communications, on-boarding of new travel advisor clients and the company’s virtual activities, such as “Celebrated Insider Access” and “Celebrated Connects.” Welch will also manage “Celebrated Legends and Heroes,” the company’s travel advisor recognition program. She has over 15 years of strategic marketing experience in the luxury consumer space, most recently as Tourism Ireland’s vice president of marketing in the United States.
MacMillan will take the lead on social media, celebratedexperiences.com and further enhancements to the organization’s technology. A key focus will be the continued evolution of the company’s proprietary database and reservations system. Prior to joining Celebrated Experiences, Mella served as general manager of Barnsley House, part of the Calcot Collection, where he also served as a company director. MacMillan begins his tenure today, and Welch begins in November. Simone Papiri continues to serve as director of sales after joining the team in August 2021. Papiri focuses primarily on the 20-plus weeks of road shows the company leads for its Celebrated Hotels.
Celebrated Experiences has also hired two leaders who will support the organization’s destination partners and product development efforts. Michele Mella begins on September 12 as chief partnership officer and director of European operations. Ivana Tudic joins in November as director of partner support and development. A significant focus of their duties will be engaging with the 350-plus Celebrated Hotels & Homes in the company’s collection. Celebrated Experiences offers an array of services to its partner properties, including reservations fulfillment, marketing guidance, revenue management solution, and sales activities. Mella and Tudic are each based in the United Kingdom and will also work to diversify the Hotel & Home collection, curate new experiences and add new handpicked Celebrated Guides & Drivers.
Having played leadership roles at luxury travel agencies such as Indagare, MacMillan has leveraged his creativity, attention to detail, and hotel partnerships to aid firms in achieving unprecedented revenue and growth. Tudic has worked in tourism for more than 20 years; for the past nine, she has served as product development manager for Classic Vacations.
In addition to these four new executives, Celebrated Experiences has hired additional itinerary designers, including new travel design directors, coordinators and assistants as it gears up for the 2023 travel season. With these additions, Celebrated Experiences has grown to 48 team members (up from 34 in March 2020).
