Pan Am has announced a second 2025 “Tracing the Transatlantic” flight, tracing the Southern and Northern Transatlantic Routes serviced by Pan American World Airways. Traveling by privately chartered jet with accommodations at a selection of iconic hotels, the newly added 12-day voyage will operate June 16-28, 2025. The first trip, announced earlier this summer, departs June 27 through July 9, 2025 with both journeys officially licensed by Pan Am Brands and supported by the Pan Am Museum Foundation. Both journeys are open for reservations, and limited to 50 guests in a Boeing 757 aircraft configured with all Business Class seating.
“Tracing the Transatlantic” Pan Am commemorative journeys fly round-trip from New York City to Europe, closely following the routes of the original Flying Boats with stops in Bermuda, Lisbon, Marseille, London and Foynes.
The program will be operated by Bartelings and Criterion Travel. It begins and ends with gala evenings at the newly renovated Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Along the way, guests will stay in other hotels including the Rosewood in Bermuda, the Four Seasons Ritz in Lisbon, the Savoy in London and Dromoland Castle in Ireland. Special events besides discussions about the legacy of this airline and its people include an evening of fado in Lisbon and dinner at the Flying Boat Museum in Foynes, Ireland, which houses the only B314 Flying Boat replica in the world.
Additionally, Pan Am and aviation aficionados alike can attend the Pan Am Museum Foundation’s 2024 Gala, “Pan Am Mania” on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Pan Am Museum, located within the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY. CEO and Owner of Pan Am Brand Craig Carter will discuss his vision for the brand, upcoming journeys and more. This year’s gala celebrates the 60th anniversary of The Beatles arriving in the United States by way of Pan American World Airways in 1964; former ABC News anchor Sam Donaldson will be the keynote speaker.
