Air France will consolidate its New York John F. Kennedy International Airport operations at the airport's new Terminal One starting next year, and the move comes with a headline amenity: a lounge topping 29,000 square feet, the biggest anywhere in the carrier's international network.
The two-level space, created by Air France's in-house teams with design agency MARKS Brandimage, will seat upwards of 400 guests and lean hard into French hospitality — think restaurant-style dining rooms devoted to French gastronomy and a bar pouring a curated list of French wines and champagnes. Guests will also find zones set aside for beauty treatments, rest, and work, plus a private enclave for Flying Blue Ultimate members.
Access will extend to La Première and Business cabin travelers, Flying Blue Elite Plus members, and eligible passengers on KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines. For clients booked in La Première, the lounge anchors a personalized ground experience running from curbside to jet bridge, including a dedicated dining area with a menu developed by a renowned French chef.
"New York is one of Air France's most important and iconic markets, and this year we are especially proud to celebrate 80 years of serving New York," said Nicolas Henin, senior vice president, North America, Air France-KLM. "With our move to New Terminal One and the opening of this new lounge, we are taking our premium travel experience to a new level, continuing to invest not only in the flight itself, but providing elegance in every moment of the journey."
This summer, Air France is flying up to 11 daily Paris-Charles de Gaulle–New York frequencies across JFK and Newark. That includes as many as six daily JFK departures—four of them on Boeing 777-300ERs fitted with the airline's newest La Première cabin—alongside three flights operated by transatlantic joint-venture partner Delta and up to two daily Newark departures.
