Air Italy announced it plans to double its number of United States gateways next April. Flying from Milan Malpensa, Air Italy will begin offer direct flights to Los Angeles on April 3, 2019 and to San Francisco on April 10, 2019.
These two new destinations follow the five intercontinental airports Air Italy introduced last year: New York, Miami, Bangkok, Delhi and Mumbai. The Italian company additionally offers domestic transfers between Milan and Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania, Lamezia Terme and Olbia.
The Milan Malpensa-to-Los Angeles service will begin on April 3, 2019 and continue on a four-times weekly schedule, flying Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights from Los Angeles to Milan will start April 4 and operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On April 10, Air Italy will begin its Milan-to-San Francisco service, with flights departing Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. San Francisco to Milan flights will start April 11 and continue operation on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Air Italy is operating its intercontinental flights aboard its new long-haul Airbus A330-200. Its Business Class cabin, which offers up to 24 seats, provides fully lie-flat seats, Italian cuisine and a selection of champagnes and Italian fine wines. The plane’s Economy Class cabin offers 228 seats.
