Intrav announced its $4 million plane upgrade commitment as the company moves into final production with its custom-designed, 180-degree flat-bed seats. The luxury private jet tour operator also extended its charter agreement with Icelandair, who provides the Boeing 757-200ER aircraft to Intrav, from three to five years.

The 50 best-in-class seats are now in production, and will be installed in time for the company’s inaugural journeys taking place this autumn. The first is a 25 day “Timeless Destinations” global adventure departing September 8 that visits Rio de Janeiro, Easter Island, Bora Bora, Sydney, Myanmar, the Taj Majal and Jaipur, Istanbul and Marrakech. The second journey is an 25-day “Amazing Places” Around The World journey departing October 5th that features Lima, Cuzco and Machu Picchu, Tahiti, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, Bali, Angkor Wat, Dubai, St. Petersburg and Biarritz.
Each seat also includes the following amenities:
- More than 6.5 feet of personal space (79-inch pitch)
- In-seat, personal massage
- Adjustable lumbar support with four-way adjustable headrests
- Multiple PC and USB ports
- Celestial bedding with pillow top mattress, duvet and deluxe pillow
The seats have a layout that allows a four-top lounge configuration for travelers wishing to socialize. The detached ottoman for each flat-bed seat doubles as guest seating, while padding on the backside of each row of seats offer a comfortable backrest. An adjustable table top glides out for meals and conversation.

Intrav is also making enhancements to the on-board lavatories. Premium sinks, fixtures and finishes will be installed as part of the multi-million dollar upgrades.
