La Compagnie will launch nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) beginning in spring 2027, the all-business-class airline announced this week.
The carrier will operate up to five weekly flights during the summer season aboard a new Airbus A321neo LR, and it will be the only airline offering nonstop service between New York and Düsseldorf at launch. Schedule details and tickets are available now at LaCompagnie.com, through the airline's call center, and via travel advisors.
The route connects New York with the Rhine-Ruhr region in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany's most populous federal state and one of Europe's major economic centers. Düsseldorf is among the world's leading trade show destinations and home to international companies spanning fashion, telecommunications, life sciences, professional services, and advanced manufacturing. For leisure travelers, the city offers art, architecture, shopping, and gastronomy, and serves as a gateway to the Rhineland's historic towns, vineyards, castles, and Rhine river-cruise itineraries. Its proximity to the Netherlands and Belgium also positions the route for travelers from neighboring regions.
"Düsseldorf represents a natural next chapter in La Compagnie's development," said Christian Vernet, president and CEO of La Compagnie. "At the heart of one of Europe's most dynamic economic regions, with strong international businesses and longstanding ties to the United States, North Rhine-Westphalia is well suited to our unique all-business-class model. We look forward to welcoming travelers from the region on board, while also offering our American clientele a new and convenient gateway to Germany."
The Düsseldorf route will carry La Compagnie's entirely business-class experience. Passengers will have access to the DUS Sky Lounge in Pier C at Düsseldorf Airport and to Lounge&Co, the airline's recently renovated private lounge, in Newark. On board the A321, every seat converts into a fully flat bed, and the experience includes complimentary gate-to-gate unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, entertainment, a generous baggage allowance, seasonal menus from renowned chefs paired with French wines and Champagne, and amenity kits featuring Beau Domaine skincare.
La Compagnie currently connects Newark with Paris Orly, Nice Côte d'Azur, and Milan Malpensa, and recently extended its New York–Nice service into the winter season for the first time. The expansion will be supported by a third Airbus A321neo LR arriving in 2027 and a fourth A321neo XLR in 2028. The airline says the new aircraft are designed to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 30 percent compared with its previous-generation fleet while adding range and operational flexibility.
