Lufthansa has officially unveiled its brand-new lounge, located in the top floor of the recently enhanced Terminal E at Boston Logan International Airport. The lounge has a window façade with views of Boston’s waterfront and seating for up to 162 guests. Encompassing 6,400 square feet, it nearly doubles the area of Lufthansa’s previous facility.
The Lufthansa Lounge is open to the carrier’s premium and status customers, including HON Circle Members, however Premium Economy passengers may purchase passes to access the new lounge. The facility is also available to premium passengers and status members from All Star Alliance partners located in or with access to Terminal E in Boston, such as SAS, TAP Portugal and Turkish Airlines.
Lufthansa conducted customer surveys and focus groups to determine what products and services are of importance to its passengers in order to create the new lounge.
The room-in-room concept creates areas with additional privacy for guests. Together with the European brand Vitra, a “Living Room” and a “Dining Room” zone were designed and furnished. The lounge’s Bistro is centrally located with buffet-style dining catered by FLIK and a staffed bar serving cocktails and specialty coffees.
The “Living Room,” adjacent to the Bistro, offers plush couches, chairs and a video wall. Multi-functional seating suitable for working, eating or just relaxing is available in two separate sections, including along an exterior wall overlooking the airport’s apron, where passengers can also opt for a luxurious recliner
Lufthansa First Class passengers and HON Circle Members can enjoy a dedicated section with views of the waterfront and exclusive à la carte and preflight dining options.
During the peak season the Lufthansa Group hosts five flights a day in Boston. As an added convenience, the new lounge enables direct boarding for most flights.
