Exeter International is introducing a new luxury train service, the Danube Express, which will travel through Central and Eastern Europe.
The carriages of the Danube Express were originally built for the ruling elite of Hungary’s government in the 1950s, but have been redesigned for modern tastes. Deluxe compartments onboard have two lower berths and have private en-suite bathrooms with showers. Amenities in the bathrooms include a heated towel rail and hair dryer.
Passengers can board in Istanbul and wake up to a Bulgarian landscape flying by. Excursions to local attractions are available along the three- or six-night journey, and pre- and post-train itineraries can be customized.
