Remote Lands has announced a private jet expedition in collaboration with Aman through the Americas—"The US and Caribbean: Adventures in the Extraordinary.” For those wishing to travel a little closer to home, the eight-night journey will take place from February 21 to March 1, 2021, exploring the remote landscapes of Aman resorts in the Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, Utah and Wyoming.
Remote Lands and Aman will fly 14 guests on a Bombardier Global Express jet, traveling from Caribbean island oases to the mesas of Utah and the mountains of Wyoming.
Beginning in the remote Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, travelers will start their journey at Amanera, a beach retreat with ocean views on one side and rainforest on the other. The Dominican Republic offers the opportunity to connect with nature, whether relaxing on the beach, exploring the national parks or exploring the island’s ancient relics. From Amanera, travelers can enjoy a choice of activities, including rum tasting, wreck diving, kite surfing, a ceviche cooking class, a day trip to colonial Santo Domingo and a wide range of spa treatments.
The next stop on the itinerary is Amanyara on the island of Providenciales in Turks & Caicos. Overlooking a stretch of white sand and the clear waters of Northwest Point Marine National Park, the resort offers access to some of the finest scuba diving sites, seasonal cuisine and superb wellness facilities. Travelers can sign up for excursions such as snorkeling, Hobie Cat sailing, eco-hiking, kayaking, Providenciales Island exploration and a private yacht trip around the islands with Seabobs and jet skis in tow.
The third destination on the jet journey takes guests to Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah, a 600-acre oasis in red rock country. Step from jet to helicopter and arrive at Amangiri after a scenic aerial tour of the Grand Canyon. Located on the Utah-Arizona border, Canyon Point is well-suited for outdoor enthusiasts, offering great hiking, natural wonders and landscapes of canyons, mesas, mountains, gorges and rapids. Guests will have the choice of excursions including a three-canyon hike led by an experienced Navajo guide, a day trip to the iconic Zion National Park, via ferrata hiking and climbing, horseback riding and a tour of the Monument Valley, to name a few.
The final leg of the journey takes travelers further north to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, flanked by the snowcapped Teton and Gros Ventre mountain ranges. Guests will find solace at Amangani, which rests at an elevation of 7,000 feet and is a great location to spot the region’s moose, bison and other wildlife. Guests can choose from a variety of winter excursions, such as skiing and snowboarding, snowmobiling, fat tire biking, dogsledding and a snowcoach tour, in addition to art-focused options like a photography workshop and tour of the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Supplementary experiences include heli-skiing, snowcat powder skiing and a Yellowstone photo flight by helicopter. The itinerary also includes a scenic sleigh ride before the farewell dinner.
Throughout their journey, each guest or couple will have their own private car, driver and guide for all airport transfers. To ensure the trip is completely personalized, guests can also select their preferred daily activities for a customized itinerary.
All local government requirements will be followed, and the wearing of masks will be required in public areas. In addition, all guests will be required to present a negative PCR test within 72 hours of arrival at Amanera. This negative PCR test will also be valid for travel to Turks & Caicos. Guests will be tested upon arrival at Amanyara, as well, and temperature checks will be administered prior to each departure.
