Singita has announced a new development in African travel, allowing for convenient travel between its South Africa and Zimbabwe properties. Starting March 1, 2024, Singita, in collaboration with Halsted’s Aviation Corporation (HAC), will introduce weekly flights between Buffalo Range Airport in Chiredzi, Zimbabwe, and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Mbombela, South Africa. This strategic initiative will simplify access between Singita’s properties in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Guests have the choice to start or end their safari adventure at a selection of lodges, including Singita’s Pamushana Lodge and Malilangwe House in the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve, Zimbabwe; Singita’s Lebombo Lodge, Lebombo Villa, and Sweni Lodge in Kruger National Park; and Singita’s Ebony Lodge, Ebony Villa, Boulders Lodge, and Castleton in Sabi Sand, South Africa.
The flight between Buffalo Range and Kruger Mpumalanga takes just one hour and 15 minutes, and HAC will be using two twin turboprop planes—either the King Air 350 or King Air 200—to provide guests with a comfortable and convenient travel experience.
This new flight route will significantly enhance connectivity between two of the most sought-after safari destinations in sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, guests had to transfer aircraft and spend an additional night in transit to travel between the two destinations. With HAC’s new flights, guests can experience the best of both Singita Malilangwe and Singita’s Kruger National Park and Sabi Sand.
The new flights between Buffalo Range and Kruger Mpumalanga are available for booking on the HAC website.
