Connoisseur Travel has named Craig Clayton senior director of leisure. Clayton will assume his new role starting January 16. Prior to joining Connoisseur Travel, he worked with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts worldwide sales for 23 years.
“Upon joining Four Seasons hotels in 1999, Connoisseur Travel was one of the first accounts I called on,” said Clayton. “It was love at first sight as both organizations treat clients and colleagues following the Golden Rule, and both work towards meeting their client’s travel needs throughout the world. I am thrilled to be joining Connoisseur!”
Having spent more than 34 years in the hospitality industry, Clayton brings extensive experience with leisure as well as group meetings and event travel.
“We are very excited to welcome Craig to head up Connoisseur’s vacation/leisure department. We have just celebrated our 34th anniversary, which arrived with a post pandemic growth in both our corporate and leisure sales. Having Craig join at this moment is the perfect time to meld this growth with his abilities to lead and manage”, said Catherine Hagle, president of Connoisseur Travel. “Clearly our travelers know and continue to feel safe having us navigate the new world of travel.”
“It is such a pleasure to welcome such a well-rounded and respected industry veteran like Craig to the Connoisseur team. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of the industry, in addition to his keen understanding of the global market on handling client expectations,” said Eric Reader, executive vice president, partner of Connoisseur Travel.
