Global Travel Collection (GTC), Internova Travel Group’s luxury travel division, announced several new initiatives designed to support its community of travel advisors and agencies worldwide. Details of the new programs were shared by Angie Licea, president of Global Travel Collection, during the company’s Elevate conference, held at the Virgin Hotels New York.
Among them: Concierge, powered by TEN, is a new concierge offering with exclusive lifestyle services and priority access to the best restaurants, hotels, shows and events around the globe. Launching in 2024, this program will be available exclusively to GTC advisors. Coming soon will be a new cloud-based platform that will help travel advisors design and manage complex trips for their clients. This planning tool offers features such as CRM, client proposal/itinerary creation and workflow management.
Other new developments include the creation of a Partner Solutions Team to help advisors navigate the special offers from preferred partners; a revamped air desk and enhanced support services for group bookings; and a new GTC corporate website that will support business travel services, including entertainment travel and meetings and incentives. GTC advisors also have access to value-added amenity programs and offers, such as the new Curated Hotels & Resorts, which was launched at the Elevate conference. Clients of GTC advisors who book into Curated’s collection of 400 lifestyle properties will receive $100 credits when staying at participating properties for two or more consecutive nights, as well as room upgrades when available.
Furthermore, as part of Internova’s new Green Circle eco-luxe sustainability initiative, in 2024, a portion of the sales proceeds from Internova’s programs, including Curated, booked by GTC advisors will go toward supporting verified carbon sequestration programs around the world.
Over the past year, GTC confirmed its commitment to its travel advisors through a number of new programs and activities, starting with the launch of a luxury travel magazine Oltre, initially distributed to clients of GTC advisors. GTC also held professional development workshops in New York City and Beverly Hills; brought new structure to its FAM program and invitations for industry events; added courses to its Learning Library for advisors; and created a new advisor newsletter.
GTC additionally collaborated with NBC’s LXTV to produce “Extra Mile Club,” a television pilot that highlighted the benefits of working with two GTC advisors who competed to plan a perfect New York City weekend for celebrity clients. GTC has also relaunched its website, making it easier for consumers to connect with a travel advisor. The updated site features advisor profiles and inspirational travel stories.
In February, GTC announced The Path Forward, laying the foundation for a flexible and adaptable business environment that positions advisors for long-term success in an ever-changing travel environment. Through the creation of Advisor Success Teams, GTC advisors receive personalized, proactive attention that helps them win new customers and grow their businesses. Smaller groups of advisors are guided by a dedicated manager who tailors resources based on the needs of each individual business.
