Luxury tour operator TCS World Travel has announced that all guests and crew on its group jet expeditions are required to show proof of full vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test, with immediate effect.
Shelley Cline, president, TCS World Travel said in a press release, “At TCS World Travel, the well-being of our guests and staff, along with the local communities we visit, is our highest priority. We also anticipate the COVID-19 vaccine to be a requirement for entry in some of the destinations on our expeditions. As such, to help protect guest well-being and reduce operational risk, we are requiring our guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel on our group jet expeditions.”
Guests will be asked to submit their proof of vaccination no later than check-in day of the trip departure. TCS will accept vaccines authorized and approved by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or the World or the World Health Organization (WHO). A valid negative COVID-19 test result must also be presented to TCS staff on the first day of the tour. The negative test result must show that the test was performed within 72 hours before the first day of the tour.
In a press release, TCS said that it understands that receiving a COVID-19 vaccine may not be a possibility for some guests because of medical restrictions or other personal reasons. “While the company values each of its loyal guests, TCS is concerned for the collective safety and well-being of all who travel aboard its aircraft and therefore is unable to accommodate any guest on its group jet expeditions who cannot be vaccinated,” the statement added.
The tour operator said it will continue to monitor recommendations by global public health experts.
