Luxury travel industry insiders Alicia Diez and Dora Karanikas have announced the launch of LUXPages on February 6, 2023. The mission of LUXPages is to build the most comprehensive, one-stop digital directory and community of luxury travel industry partners. Within its digital “pages,” members can search for and connect with luxury suppliers and advisors around the world, regardless of consortia or affiliation.
Diez and Karanikas developed the idea for LUXPages years ago and used the pandemic shutdown to bring their vision to life. Diez was a travel advisor at Valerie Wilson Travel for three decades, while Karanikas spent 20 years in luxury travel at brands including The Ritz-Carlton, Virtuoso and Hidden Doorways before the two partnered in 2020 on their vision. The women spent the past two years building the membership-based platform by conducting market research, upgrading technology, vetting suppliers, gathering industry feedback and beta testing with industry insiders.
Search functionality is the driving force behind the platform. Dozens of filters allow users to cast a wider net and generate search results with the latest information on new and established travel partners.
Diez explained: “Frustration was the motivation for creating LUXPages. For years, agency colleagues and I felt inundated with piecemeal resources for travel-planning. The industry had no universal database to research all viable options for our clients. We designed LUXPages to transform the clutter into one trusted global aggregator. It is the first step in every luxury travel planner’s search.”
Karanikas added, “LUXPages is built for the needs of the advisor, but suppliers benefit through constant visibility. You can’t be an option if you’re not searchable.”
The membership-based platform is available to all luxury travel advisors, suppliers, DMCs and sales representation companies, regardless of consortia or affiliation. Over 400 suppliers, from major brands to exclusive independent properties and DMCs, have signed on as founding members, with more than 1,000 additional suppliers expected to join throughout this year. Membership will be open to luxury travel advisors on February 6.
LUXPages offers its members:
- An all-in-one database to save time and simplify the search process
- A community of trusted luxury travel partners
- Advanced filters to pinpoint searches for suppliers and advisors
- An easy-to-navigate user interface and interactive tools to build connections and engagement
- A level playing field for all suppliers
- Ongoing opportunities for new product and advisor discovery
- Comprehensive resources including an events calendar, news, discussion forum, media library, trends, and analytics
“We see opportunities for programming, partnerships, and platform growth on the horizon. We’re already getting requests for LUXPages to serve as an agency intranet," Karanikas said.
