As the travel world moves more and more online, Valerie Wilson Travel (VWT) says it successfully held its 5th Annual Suite Access Fair via Zoom. The virtual event included 110 properties that presented over four days to over 100 VWT advisors. The digital edition of Suite Access Fair consisted of eight one-hour sessions where suppliers were given five minutes to present the best of their property to the attending advisors. The program started with an opening session to review the Suite Access value proposition and discuss marketing initiatives. VWT Suite Access Fair 2020 concluded with an awards ceremony honoring top Advisors and select hotels.
“The travel industry is so resilient, and we have maximized COVID to do more advisor training,” said Kimberly Wilson Wetty, co-president and owner of Valerie Wilson Travel. “We wanted to find a way to still have this event, to keep advisors at the forefront of the industry and to continue to collaborate with our supplier partners—I think we achieved that with flying colors.”
All featured properties are members of VWT’s program, Suite Access, which gives VWT clients upgrades, access and special VIP amenities. The program includes 200-plus hotels in 45 countries and 120 destinations around the world and now has expanded to include cruise, with Regent Seven Seas, Seabourn, Silversea Cruises and Celebrity Cruises. Clients who book a qualifying reservation for a minimum of two nights receive:
- A minimum of $200 on-property credit to be enjoyed during their stay
- Early check-in and late check-out, based on availability
- Personal welcome from the hotel’s manager
- En-suite welcome amenity
- Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access
- Complimentary full breakfast daily
- Complimentary VIP experience or a custom local amenity
