Luxury travel network Virtuoso is gearing up for the return of its Virtuoso Travel Week conference, to be held August 8-13. Being operated as a hybrid function this year, Virtuoso Travel Week is expected to draw 2,000 attendees for the in-person portion taking place at Bellagio Resort & Casino, Aia Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas, with several thousand more joining remotely. Last year, an abbreviated event was held entirely virtually from August 10 to 13.
What can attendees expect this year? Virtuoso Travel Week, the network says, will seek to “reunite friends, colleagues and business partners who need each other now more than ever to get travel and tourism back on its feet.” To note, the popular one-to-one networking appointments and professional development, available to all participants, will continue to serve as cornerstones of the event. Matthew D. Upchurch, chairman and CEO of Virtuoso, in an announcement says there will, as usual, be the one-to-one appointments in the morning with “Globetrotting” sessions focused on the Virtuoso Communities (in key areas, such as cruise, adventure, family, culinary and ultra-luxe travel) in the afternoon, as well as the “meetings after the meeting that take place in the hallways of Bellagio, or during dinner or, quite frankly, over a drink at the bar.”
Both in-person and remote attendees will have access to Virtuoso Week’s training lineup from expert presenters. (The content is also made available to registrants for a full month following the event.) There will also be a dedicated Cruise Café, plus partner lounges.
Virtuoso Travel Week attendance is open to all travel agencies, advisors and preferred partners who belong to the Virtuoso network. Those wishing to attend in-person should request a spot by June 10. Virtual attendees will be accepted through July 14.
