The Dorchester has announced the return of The Dorchester Rooftop, with the 2023 pop-up inspired by a secret English garden.
Serving a brunch-style sharing menu crafted by culinary director Martyn Nail, The Dorchester Rooftop affords views across Hyde Park and Central London. Fare will be accompanied by a cocktail menu of refreshing drinks. Infused with ingredients found in the herb garden and topped off with floral garnishes, select cocktails will be served tableside from a bar trolley with a mixologist demonstration.
The summer-inspired menu introduces dishes through an immersive experience with highlights including caviar, oysters and fruit de mer, with larger plates including grilled Cornish lobster fregola, côte de boeuf and truffle risotto. Desserts such as summer berry cheesecake and The Dorchester signature 68 percent chocolate parfait complete the rooftop experience. Nibbles to accompany the cocktail menu include tempura prawns with ponzu mayonnaise, rooftop sliders and truffle eclairs.
The secret garden deck in the heart of Mayfair will house herb gardens, foliage-covered decking, flowerpots and fairy lights. The restaurant and bar will be open Thursday through to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and lunch on Sunday. Guests can relax with a cocktail and listen to acoustic music to escape from the bustle of Park Lane. Tables will be available for up to six guests and, in anticipation of the unpredictable British weather, terrace umbrellas, heaters and blankets will be available.
The Dorchester Rooftop first opened to coincide with The Dorchester’s 90th anniversary. Throughout the summer of 2021, The Dorchester Rooftop welcomed a series of chef residencies and culinary pop-ups, including a British summertime menu by Tom Booton and The Grill; Sri Lankan dishes by Mario Perera; the Polo Lounge at sister property, The Beverly Hills Hotel; and in 2022, a Mediterranean menu by Chef de Patron Jean-Philippe Blondet.
The Dorchester Rooftop will be open until September 3, 2023.
