Grand Velas Los Cabos has announced the addition of a culinary experience dubbed “Dinner Under the Stars.” Diners will be in full view of the stars, planets and constellations stretching over the Los Cabos Baja Peninsula. Pretty cool: The region is considered by NASA as one of the top 20 places to research the night sky.
Following a three-hour sunset cruise on the Sea of Cortez, aboard the resort’s 55-foot yacht Azimut, diners will return to Grand Velas Los Cabos for a dining experience in an open-air beach location. Guests can enjoy a dinner with open flame cooking prepared by two Michelin-starred chef Sidney Schutte. The chef transforms traditional dishes with a contemporary vision. Signature cocktails and premium wines complement the meal inspired by nature.
Chef Schutte, who also heads the Cocina de Autor restaurant at Grand Velas Los Cabos, has experience in kitchens throughout Europe and Asia, including Richard Ekkebus’ Amber, Roger Souvereyns’ De Scholteshof and Jonnie Boer’s De Librije. He received two Michelin stars at Librije’s Zusje Amsterdam restaurant.
The “Dinner Under the Stars” experience can accommodate up to 10 people. Nightly rates are additional per person per night in double occupancy for the Ambassador Ocean Suites. Gourmet meals, premium beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, nightly entertainment, taxes and gratuity are some of the benefits included in the resort’s nightly rate.
The beachfront property has 307 ocean-view suites, inclusive of six Wellness Suites, all over 1,180 square feet, with private terraces and some with personal plunge pools.
